Offering Meditation for Trinity Sunday B – 26-May-24
26-May-24 (John 3:1-17)
There are a lot of things about God that are sometimes difficult to understand, things like how God presents God's self in at least three ways, as Father, Son, and Spirit. However, one thing we can say is that those three aspects of God work together in a complementary way in order to do the work God wants to get done,
Likewise, the Church is made up of a lot of very different people and the only way we can do God's work is when we work together in complementary ways, each giving of ourselves and our resources to make that happen.
We have an opportunity now, both to commit to doing that and to actually do that as we take up the offering for today.
Prayer:
Please join me in prayer.
God, who lives and moves in community, we thank you for your love which never falters, we thank you for the example you gave us in Jesus, and we thank you for the Spirit that helps us live the life of faith.
Bless these gifts that we have returned to you for the work of your Realm in this world. Fill us anew with the Spirit so that we can be your hands and feet and voice in our world.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Christ, AMEN.
