Sometimes Jesus' ministry was very public. He fed over 5000 people in one instance. Sometimes Jesus' ministry was private and personal, like the stories of healing one small girl and one particular woman from our scripture for today. Whether it's very public or very private, the Church is involved in all kinds of ministries. We provide pastoral care for individuals and families and we participate in ministries that reach all over the world.
You can be a part of that, by giving of your time and your talent and your financial resources.
Consider how you can participate in ministries both large and small as we take up our offering for today.

God who meets us in the ordinary and extraordinary, in the big and in the small, we bring these gifts back to you, to be used in your work in our congregation, in our community, and in our world.
Bless these gifts and put them to use in the best ways. Bless us as well, that we can continue to be your presence here on Earth.
