People don't usually come out and ask the question like Jesus did: "Who do you say I am?" But they are wondering who we think Jesus is? What we do and how we do it tells them more about who we think Jesus is than what we say, as important as what we say is.
Through giving of ourselves and our time and our financial resources, this congregation reaches out to people within the congregation, in our city, in our nation, and into the wider world to let them know who we think Jesus is in word and deeds of kindness, support, and care.
Let's consider how we can be a part of that great work as we take up our offering for today.

God who speaks to us of your love in so many ways, help us to communicate your love to the world around us in words and deeds. Bless these gifts, returned to your hand to make that possible.
