4-May-25 Third Sunday of Easter (John 21:1-19)

"Cast your nets on the other side of the boat." Jesus says. Some people are looking for things of value, something that will last. Others are looking to make a difference in this world. Some are simply looking for something decent and right.
Jesus says, "Cast your nets on the other side of the boat."
Find your life in giving it away in the service of others. Find your wealth in helping those without even the basics of life have food, clothing, and shelter. Fight the good fight by trying to bring peace in this world. Make a difference to "the least of these" for there is the Realm of God found.
We have many opportunities to give of our time and abilities. Right now, we have the opportunity to give of our financial resources to see these kinds of things done. Let's be about it.

Please join me in a spirit of prayer.
God who gives life and meaning and purpose, even in the small things of our lives, we pray that you would bless us that we in turn could be blessings to those around us. Help us to bring life, and hope, and peace to those nearby and those far away.
Bless these gifts we return to you as well, that they will be used by our representatives throughout the world sharing your love in word and deed.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
