Welcome to church on the internet, worshipping with friends across the world.

In this worship we celebrate with and pray for our friends in Burma (Myanmar), singing the songs and praying the prayers of the Risen Christ.
This is brought to you by DisciplesNet Church, a small church on the internet with its studio in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, but visited by people from around the world each week.

This worship is in 3 languages; English, Burmese, and Hahka Chin. Our sermon is given in Burmese by the humble and talented David Thawma, Pastor of Chin Christian Church, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
We also give the chance to take communion (the Lord's Supper) here with us, especially for those not able to take communion in a physical church. The invitation to the table is from Jesus Christ, which we pass along to you. If you would like to participate, prepare some type of bread and drink, which we will bless as we share this time together.

Going fishing seemed like the thing to do. The disciples had watched Jesus be brought to trial, crucified, and put into a grave--and then, could it be that he was alive? Had they really seen him? They were wondering what to do, so did what came naturally. And as the sun came up on a new day, they once again found themselves face to face with the Risen Christ by the Sea of Galilee. What happened next will give us all some pointers on how to be disciples of Christ in our own situations.

DisciplesNet Worship #241, March 22, 2015

We invite you to join us on a special worship today, looking at the gospel of John and its suspense in telling of Jesus' sense that "my time has not yet come…" and then later, that is has come. Bob Shaw is skillful in telling this story, then sharing from his own experience later in the service, of finding help in God's word and presence.

For our music we have favorites, from the instrumental "I Come to the Garden," played on guitar by Dean Phelps, to hymns we hope you will join us on, "I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry," and "Little is Much" (an old hymn that may be new to many).

Today's scriptures are from John 12:20-33 (read from The Message) and Psalm 121 ) read from the NRSV). We hope you will join us for this short time of worship (30 minutes) and will be blessed by participating. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that never close, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

DisciplesNet Worship #240, “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” (Shaw, 03.15.2015)

Jesus comes to us in clean, well-lighted places, and in the dark moments of our lives, too. When all is said and done, we are left with the light of God's love to share wherever we go.  We hope you'll join us for worship this week as we look at the light and love of Christ.  Pastor Bob Shaw will be bringing our message today, based on the text John 3 14-21.

Our 26 minute worship today brings the special gifts of pastor-musician Dean Phelps, who shares three old favorite hymns with us, hopping that you will join in.
And as we do every week, we will share communion together at the end of worship (breaking of the bread). We pass along the invitation to join in or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me."

If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond all earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink, such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers are given to extend to where you are If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.
