Spirit is a favorite hymn that tells a story in its four verse God's Spirit through the ages, including in our life today.
All four verses of the song are sung here, with accompanying photos and video. It is sung by Dean Phelps and accompanied by Sue Dykes on the piano. Our disclaimer is that when we recording the song, Dean and Sue were practicing, but we enjoyed it enough to share it with you, with their permission. We hope you are blessed by following along with us.
At the end, we also offer the scripture from Jesus' instructions to Nicodemus in John 3:6-8.
Spirit is available in several hymnals and forms, including the Chalice Hymnal, page # 249.
The words and music are written by James K. Manley, 1975.
DisciplesNet Church creates worship opportunities for persons who are unable to get to a physical church, and
others who like to share in the resources. This video is made available by those who have given their gifts to helpi in this ministry. We are non-profit and all gifts go back into ministry.
Thanks for joining us, and God bless you.

DisciplesNet Church created this short video especially to help in bringing the peace of God to those in need. We pray that the gentle instrumental music of "Abide with Me," by Dean Phelps, and the photos taken by our video intern team will help bring that sense of peace to you.
We've put together this 12-minute music worship video for you, combining four of the songs from our DisciplesNet Christmas Worship #8. This video features two gifted musicians who are also ordained clergy and helping DisciplesNet with our music: Rev. Dr. Twana A. Harris and Rev. Dean Phelps. Worship in song as we think of Christmas around the world through the songs, "Sweet Little Jesus Boy," "Some Children See Him," "Go, Tell It on the Mountain," and "Silent Night."
DisciplesNet Church seeks to be platform where our members can share their gifts with others. For Beverly Heid (pronounced 'hide'), reaching out comes naturally. For years she has made it part of her personal ministry to visit those for whom it is difficult or impossible to get out of their homes. Often when visiting she will bring the gift of her music to brighten others' days.
Beverly played these songs on her Baldwin piano, adding her own flair and taping them as she went for this purpose. We have put them together as her gift shared through DisciplesNet.
The tunes are mostly familiar ones. They extend Bev's kindness from her home in Indiana, USA to yours, bringing peace, comfort, and inspiration to all those who might enjoy listening to the melodies of these Christmas hymns in a time of worship and meditation. Christmas 2010
In this short 6-minute video, musician and DisciplesNet minister Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel teaches her own original work, "The Joy Song," which was written with children especially in mind. Afterwards, Borschel makes the Christmas story come alive as she reads Matthew 1:18-25.
An added bonus on this tape is the opening song, the Cradle Song, played on a mountain dulcimer.
Singer, songwriter, and ordained Disciples of Christ minister Audrey Borschel sings her original composition, "Let Us Walk in the Light of Our God" in this 4-minute video illustrated with scenes that include those the stunning photography of Dave Alexander of Emerald Coast Reflections.
