DisciplesNet offers this as a special meditation for Maundy Thursday:
A meditation with the American spiritual, "Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley", sung by the choir of Allisonville Christian Church, Indianapolis, IN, USA. Soloist: Steve Caress.
What happens when you get musicians together with different spoken languages, but they both love God and singing God's praises? You will see that here: they get along just fine. This video is fun to watch unfold, as you see the musicians discover a common language and have a great time sharing in song together.
This video was taken at the DisciplesNet Church office, with Rev. Dean Phelps and visiting ministry partners from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rev. Ilumbe Ndjongo and Oskar Pemkombe (Disciples of Christ in Congo), summer of 2012. The song that they end up singing in Lingala is, in English, Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah.
DisciplesNet is a non-profit ministry crossing barriers and boundaries to share the Good News of God's redeeming love.

When we gather at the Table, we realize that we are one with Christians in every time and every place. As the song says "Through the loving Son, the Father makes us one."
We've put together this 12-minute music worship video for you, combining four of the songs from our DisciplesNet Christmas Worship #8. This video features two gifted musicians who are also ordained clergy and helping DisciplesNet with our music: Rev. Dr. Twana A. Harris and Rev. Dean Phelps. Worship in song as we think of Christmas around the world through the songs, "Sweet Little Jesus Boy," "Some Children See Him," "Go, Tell It on the Mountain," and "Silent Night."
