Welcome the DisciplesNet Christmas Eve 2011 Service.  A Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service that consists of scripture and carols interwoven to tell the story of the coming of Jesus.  The worship includes Christmas readings, carols with which you can sing along, the lighting of the Christ Child candle on the Advent wreath, and a special treat, "For Unto Us A Child is Born" from Handel's Messiah, performed by the Southport (IN) Christian Church Choir.

Today's worship is a celebration looking at the "cloud of witnesses" that help us along in our faith, and has a special time of prayer for remembering the Saints that have gone before us. Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel brings the message and Bob Shaw the communion, with song favorites, "For All the Saints,", "In the Bulb There is a Flower," "When the Saints Go Marching In," and "Here at Thy Table Lord"

"The Invitation" takes a look at the story of the Wedding Banquet from Matthew 22:1-14 as an interesting take on the Messianic Banquet from the unique perspective of a youth group taught by Pastor Deb Phelps, who brings this message. Also on this worship are Pastoral Prayer by Bob Shaw, communion by Audrey Borschel.

To this worship Phoebe Spier once again shares her music with Dean Phelps backing her up on "As the Deer" and "More Precious Than Silver," and "Seek Ye First."
