Children’s Moment for All Saints Day – 03-Nov-24
3-Nov-24
When you hear someone call someone else a "saint," what do you think they mean? [wait for answers] We usually think of someone who is very, very good or someone who does a lot of good things, and that's one way to think of it, but I want to think of people you admire, people who set a good example for you, and people who teach you how to understand and act out your belief in Jesus.
Those might be teachers and parents. They might be pastors. They might be other children, maybe a bit older than you.
All of those are saints, because they help you to be a good disciple of Jesus.
So, as we go through the rest of our worship and you hear that word "Saints," think of those people.
Prayer
God, we thank you for all the saints who help us understand you and understand how to act in ways you like. We thank you for the saints in our lives. As we grow up and understand, help us be saints that help others.
We pray in Jesus' name. AMEN
