20-Nov-22 (John 6:25-35)

There were a lot of people who hung around Jesus. In our story for today, Jesus was getting a little tired of the ones who were around just because they wanted to see the great things he would do. He said to them, don't be here because of all the great things you'll see. Be here because this is where you'll find a way to live the way you should. They didn't get it. They said, "So, show us this way to live." and Jesus said back, "Watch me. I'm the way to live." If we watch Jesus and do the kinds of things he does, we're living the way that God wants us to live and that's not just good for us. It's good for other people and for the world.

Let's pray about that.
God, we thank you that Jesus showed us how we should be with each other. Help us see how to live by watching Jesus and help us to live that way so that people around us and this world itself becomes better.
We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
