30-Jan-22 (Luke 4:21-30)

When Jesus went back to his hometown in our gospel story for today, he tried to explain to them that God's love is for everyone. I guess a lot of them thought that it was just for them and they were upset to hear that God's love was not only for other folks but that those folks might receive it better than they would.
We need to remember that Jesus came so that everyone could know about God and know that God loves them.
Let's pray about that.

Prayer

God, we thank you for Jesus, who came to show us who you are and how much you love us. Help us to remember that you aren't just for us. You want to share your love with everyone, even people we might not like much. Help us not to be jealous when we see other people receiving your love. Help us to share your love with others too.
We pray in Jesus' name. AMEN
