Who do you think Jesus is? How would you describe him to a friend or a teacher?

Jesus asked the same question to his disciples, and they came up with a lot of different ideas, just like you. Over the years people have also come up with a lot of ideas about who Jesus is. Some say he was a great teacher. Some say he was a great leader. Peter said that Jesus was the one sent by God, the son of God.
What do you think it means to be God's son? [Allow for answers]
There are a lot of ideas about what that means too! One way to think about it is, just like a son or daughter can show you some things about their mother or father, Jesus can show us about who God is and how God loves us. Jesus can show us how to act in ways that God likes too. So, we learn about God from seeing Jesus.

God, we thank you for the way that you love all of us and we thank you for the ways that Jesus shows us your love. Help us to learn how to learn how to share that love with others too, so that people will see you in how we act.
