Praying for Peace
Join us on this 9-minute guided prayer for peace and healing in the wake of violence and terrorism including, but not only the September 11 events in the USA. We know that such violent acts happen all over the world, leaving people struggling with where to start in their prayers. This is one small offering to help in the process of healing.
In our 7 x 7 prayers for peace, we light 7 candles, each directing us toward a particular prayer need. Each candle then offers 7 more prayers, drawing from Jesus' instructions about forgiveness, 7 x 70 times. So we make steps toward that healing and forgiveness.
Our prayer time is set against a peaceful background of scenic photos, music and scripture. This video is a special, created by the non-profit, DisciplesNet Church, who exists as an online church and presence, using the internet to help bring the presence of Christ to people who might not otherwise have been able to receive this. Our videos are created for everyone who would like to use them, but are mindful of persons who are home-bound, in hospitals and hospice, alone in the middle of the night, or live in places of the world where Christian churches and resources are not so easy to come by. Please feel free to pass along the link to this video as you believe it would help.
And may God bless you, and bring you peace.

As we continue to grow as an online presence, our work is being supported by gifts and donations of viewers and supporters. All gifts shared with us are much appreciated, and go to equip our work in creating worshipful resources.
We invite you also to join us also for weekly worship, where each Sunday we post a new video worship at DisciplesNet Church, and have online communion. Our 7 x 7 prayers for healing came out of the September 11, 2011 worship video.
We'd like to thank Pam Barksdale for providing us with the beautiful music background of this video, and Dave Alexander of Emerald Coast Reflections (emeraldcoastreflections) for donating many of the beautiful photos used on 7 x 7, including our opening photo.
May God bring you peace on your own journey toward healing and wholeness on this day.
