DisciplesNet Worship # 12, “Caught up in Christ’s Net” (Borschel 01-23-2011)
Join us in DisciplesNet's weekly worship, where veteran internet pastor Audrey Borschel brings a short message about being "caught" up in Christ's network of caring for one another, using the Matthew 4:12-23 text where Jesus first calls his disciples, to "fish for people."
Our worship was developed during the week of Christian unity, which is developed in the message and Bob Shaw's reflections on what it is like to share communion in an online church. Texts for today also include Psalm 27 and 1 Corinthians 1: 10-18. Worship music includes special musical arrangement of "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling," by singer/songwriter Dean Phelps.
Interesting note: The weather at the DisciplesNet worship center and studio created icy roads and snow, cancelling some of our scheduled worship. So, we thank those who contributed their work to fill in with short notice.
Corrections: the piano accompaniment for the Psalm 27 reading is "He Hideth My Soul," not "My Hope is Built" as is written in the credits. Also, the reading from Matthew is chapter 4:18-23, not chapter 14 as indicated in headers.
