Luke 18:31
Then Jesus took the twelve aside and said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished.”

Compassionate God
          who feels our sorrows,
Give us power to accompany Jesus
    on the walk to Jerusalem,
So that we may comprehend
     how long the walk must have been for him.
In his holy name,
                                                            Amen.
