15-Dec-24 (Luke 3:7-18)

When people asked John what they should do, he said that they should "produce fruit worthy of repentance." He said to give to those who have little and to feed those who have no food. In our own time, we are called to do those same things in order to bring Christ into the world and to show others the ways of God.
In addition to the things we can do with our time and efforts, we can also give of our resources so the church, either as this congregation or as its larger manifestations in the world, can do this work as well.
Let's consider how we can be a part of that as we take up our offering for today.

Please join me in prayer.
God who reaches out to the whole world with the Good News of your love, help us to join our voices, our hands, and our resources, so that people will see your presence in our world. Bless these gifts, which we return to your service, that those who have little would be given more and that the world would see you in your Church.
