A Place for Grace #2: Though Amy’s Eyes: Having Bipolar Disorder

We invite you to A Place for Grace, a new way for finding out about our brothers and sisters around the world, and sharing God's grace and love with one another. In this first AP4G segment with an individual's story, DisciplesNet student minister, Amy Grogan, tells about having bipolar disorder and how people can speak in ways that will be helpful, rather than hurtful.
Each edition of AP4G features a person sharing the world through their eyes. This gives a chance to learn a little about what it is like to be them, and what helps and hurts with some of the struggles they face. We'll also have leaders who can share wisdom about persons who may not be able to speak for themselves. In everything, we hope to grow in understanding about each other, and learn how to live and work together to make the world a better place.
We hope that these stories and the questions that follow will encourage discussion and thoughtfulness about the people and situations in your own life.
As always, we greatly appreciate any feedback you can send us (send to: pastor@disciplesnet.org); this is one of the ways we can grow better. Also, if you would like to share your own story with us, please email us and we will share our guidelines and see if we can work this out.
