17-Apr-22 Easter Sunday
All of Easter worship is a celebration of our Risen Lord. That's true at the table as well. Even as we remember the cost Jesus paid to show the depth of God's love for us, we also remember that he was raised and is present here and now.
Here we gather with our Risen Lord as our host. It is his table and he calls us all (all are welcome here).
Let us pray.
Prayer:
God whose love overcame sin and death for us, we thank you for Jesus, the one who showed us how to live a life given to you, the one who died showing your love for us, and the one who is risen and present here as our host.
We thank you for these symbols, the bread and cup, that remind us that nothing, no matter the cost, can separate us from your love. As we eat the bread and drink from the cup, fill us again with your Holy Spirit that we may, like Mary and the others, be messengers of your risen presence in our world.
In the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
